The two main beaches of Cabo Roig (Cala Caleta and Cala Capitan) are both extremely popular and are kept very clean and well maintained. The beach bar at Cala Caleta is a popular place for a tapas snack and even a midnight cocktail or two, during the hot summer months and is often open until 4am. But be careful, negotiating your way back to the main road can be tricky by moonlight, especially when a little the worse for a beer or three! One of the “must do” things whilst in Cabo Roig is to take a stroll along the picturesque cliff walk to La Zenia. This walk offers some spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding coastline, with the sports resort of La Manga sitting invitingly in the distance.

» Torrevieja / Playa Flamenca Area

Torrevieja is located in the southernmost province of Alicante in the region of Vega Baja del Segura. Populations around Torrevieja are eminently farmers, because their gardens are watered by the poor today Segura River water, but the economic difficulties being experienced by agriculture and large urban tourism development and coastal zone has led to that some of the neighboring communities will increasingly show more attention to tourism.
